What do you consider when choosing a driving instructor?

I want my daughter to have professional lessons before she drives on her own.

Professional instructors are more or less equal in reliability. Some people thinks older instructors are better than younger ones, or picking up a driving school located in a trafficated place could lead to a better learning practise. So, consider choosing a well-known school, better if you know someone who works or has been a pupil there. Good luck!

Don't be afraid to interview various instructors. Make sure they have an easy-going but firm demeanor, and that you get the sense they genuinely like what they do. It will make a world of difference when they're teaching your daughter. Make sure they are well insuranced, and look at the fleet of cars they have.

A driving instructor must have patience and not get rattled easily. Check out the company with the Better Business Bureau. I would also ask to see copies of the insurance and exactly what the coverage is. It would be good to see what the condition of the cars and the tires.
