The chest pain could be a result of the gas. The best thing you can do is meet with your doctor so that any heart problems can be ruled out. Your doctor can run tests to make sure your heart is healthy. If the problem is from gas then medication or a change in diet can be prescribed.

Gas is very common, especially when you eat something that causes it. Chest pains should concern anyone. Many times we can pull a muscle in our chest and it feels a little tight however if you're having radiating pain down the left arm, to go the er immediately.

Straining may cause pain by putting pressure on your entire abdominal/chest area. Straining can make your heart slow down. Chest pain requires medical attention if it persists. Don't strain.
