weight loss

Question by  Dave52 (24)

What do I do if I have reached my fat loss plateau?

The weight came off nicely at first but now I cannot lose any more.

You then ease off the diet and continue with sensible eating habits. It's one thing to lose the weight it is another to maintain the weight loss.

Reaching a fat loss plateau happens to a lot of people. It is very normal. When you reach a fat loss plateau it is important to make some changes. For example, try a new workout routine, find a new friend to work out with, or even change the time you are working out.

Take a few days where you eat a few more calories (not junk),then go right back to your diet taking in fewer calories than before. Exercise and burn calories where you can. You will have kicked your calorie burner back up and should lose again.

If you cannot safely reduce your caloric intake, I would recommend changing up your exercise routine or increasing it in gradual amounts. Do not do anything to jeopardize your health and, if you are unsure, consult a health care professional.

You have to keep at it. You will keep losing weight if you stick with a healthy diet and exercise routine, you just won't notice the results like you did when you first started.
