Born again Christians beleive that Jesus Christ was the son of God. That he died on a cross and then rose again on the third day. That resurrection is the most important part of the Christian faith.

"Born again" comes from John 3 where Jesus says you must be born again to inherit eternal life. Believers refer to a personal, prayerful experience of acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Many such believers have a literalist view of the Scriptures and may have conservative moral values.

There are many different sects of "born again" Christians, and their beliefs differ on many issues. The one thing that they all have in common, however, is the belief that a person must be "born again" into Christ in order to find salvation. Usually, this means through baptism.

Jesus Christ was God in the flesh, took the punishment for our sins on the cross and rose on the third day. Jesus is the only way into Heaven.
