What did you think of Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet?

I thought it was alright. Too bad i knew what was going to happen because there had already been so many adaptations of this film. I really like the casting choices and the setting. The movie is over 14 years old and still looks great and can translate. I think that had more to do with the author though.

I think it is a good 'modern' story for Romeo and Juliet, but I prefer the original. Shakespeare didn't have people shooting at each other when he wrote the play. The original Romeo and Juliet movie portrays it the way I believe William would have wanted it to be shown. Baz Luhtmann's gets a thumbs down from me.

Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. It is such an innovative take on a well known classic and I don't think anyone else would've had the talent to pull it off. Plus Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the most underrated actors but he's so amazing.

I thought it was a good movie but ran a bit to long for me. The acting was ok but that was about it.
