If the solenoid switch is latched in the LR position either rust had locked it up or it happen in good time. so to solve this is to replace the solenoid itself. If it still is looked then it is due to the device that the solenoid is work with.

It can be several things, most likely it is a malfunctioning sensor, or a faulty transmission controller board. Take the vehicle to a reliable transmission shop to be serviced. Be reluctant to them rebuilding the transmission unless it is necessary.

If your LR switch is located in that position then you have too much fuel in your vehicle. Try to put about five to six gallons less on your next trip.
