It could happen because there is a mechanical failure inside your DVD player and sometimes it happened because the user insert the DVD not in the correct position so the DVD stuck and keeping the mechanical device not working properly.

If your DVD player is not receiving power, this might cause the DVD to be stuck. Also check if there is something blocking the DVD tray from ejecting, or if there is pressure on the tray. Finally, it's possible that the DVD has been inserted at an inappropriate angle and has jammed something within the mechanical workings.

There are several possibilities that could be causing this. One is that the DVD has gotten dislodged from the tray and is blocking the tray from opening. Another is that the motor for the tray has burned out.

Generally a DVD not being ejected from the DVD player is caused by the drawer being jammed. Either bending of the drawer or a loose end piece will jam within the player. A small flat head screwdriver gently moving the drawer will help it open.

First, check to make sure there is nothing blocking the path of the DVD tray. There also could be a broken motor or gears. Lastly the electronics could be malfunctioning.

It could be a number of things. It might be a software error, in which case it would be best to unplug it and plug it back in. Or the device might be jammed, and you might have to pull it out manually.

There could be something jamming the drive. Make sure there are no foreign objects in the drive. The DVD could not be placed in correctly.

The DVD disc could be jamming the tray shut. Also, the mechanism that opens and closes it may be broke.
