The left ring finger is traditionally where the wedding ring is worn. If you are wearing a wedding ring, you may be allergic to the metal that it is made of, especially if it is made from cheap metals. Also, the ring may be too small which could cause swelling and itching.

This could be an allergic reaction to gold. It is possible to develop contact dermatitis reactions after many years of exposure to a substance.
