The bump on your cats neck could be a cyst, tumor or swelling of the saliva glands. I suggest you go to see a vet to get it treated.

This happened to my cat too. It is sometimes caused by a parasite and it is sometimes referred to as a "burl". It happens outdoors and any open wound on the skin of the cat allows infestation to occur. A visit to the veterinarian is in order.

It could be anything. Take you cat into the vet and get it checked out if it doesn't go away in two weeks. My cat had this and it ended up being an ingrown hair. Cats can also get cysts and acne. Don't panic, I'm sure your kitty will be fine.

Bump could be from a worm. The skin would have a small hole still open so worm can get air. The cat needs to see a vet for removal.

Your cat may be suffering from a common cyst, a subcutaneous infection, or a swollen lymph gland. It is advisable to have your animal checked by a vet.

I have four cats and sometimes they get bumps on their necks but I have noticed that usually it is a self inflicted scratch,so that may be it.
