It is cause by the presence of bile in your stool. Bile is fat. In this instance, fat is not being absorbed properly. Your diet can cause this.

You ate yellow food. Yellow dye tends to do that. You might have a parasite that is causing that. But don't worry about that.

Yellow stools can indicate rapid transit of the stool through the digestive system, but they can also indicate a bacterial infection if onset is sudden. There is also a possibility that the bile ducts in your body are not releasing enough bile.

It may be caused by an infection, such as a bacterial infection. It may be caused by a lack of bile present in the stool. Bile is produced in the liver and functions as an aid in the digestion of fats. Bile is greenish-brown in color, which is what gives stool it's brown color. Without it, stool is pale.

Yellow stool is most likely caused by a certain vitamin supplement or over abundance of a certain food high in a certain mineral. B vitamins are known to cause lightly colored stools as well as bright yellow ( often describe as Day-Glo )urine. As long as you are not in pain or emitting blood it should be of no concern.
