Mulluscum skin disorder is causes by a virus that is a member of the pox family. It is most common in children but can be contracted by adults as well. The common form of transmission is by skin to skin contact, either simple touch or sexual, with the lesions or affected skin.

Mulluscum is caused by a virus. It appears to be more prevalent pregnant women. It is characterized by bumps on the skin, that can last up to a year or longer. While the virus is not dangerous it is annoying and can cause minimal discomfort.

Mulluscum skin disorder consists of tumors which are relatively small. It is often referred to as a skin condition and can be rather unpleasant. The entire body including the face can be effected by this particular condition.
