"Kerr" is another way to say "cur," meaning a mongrel or mutt. Most curs are hunting and working dogs and are generally highly prized by hunters and farmers.

The movie dog in "old Yeller" was a mountain kerr. This dog is smart and very protective of his people. These dogs are used for hunting and herding. These dogs range in colors from yellow to black. About half of these dogs are born with bob tails.

Well for starters i have personally never heard of the "kerr" breed of dog. Have you tried searching google images, wikipedia or even yahoo? If the breed were to have information online your best bet would be checking wikipedia. org.
