What can you tell me about IUD removal during pregnancy?

If you are pregnant, it is highly recommended and safe to remove the Intrauterine Device (IUD) on the same day itself. The abortion rate for women, who conceive despite the presence of UID, is 25% when the IUD is removed immediately, whereas abortion rate becomes 50% when IUD is left in place. It is safe to remove IUD during pregnancy.

If you become pregnant with in IUD it will be left for the duration of the pregnancy. It is more dangerous to remove it then it is to leave it. Once the placenta takes over hormone production, at about twelve weeks, the risk of miscarriage from the IUD as well as other reasons drops.

It would be a good idea to get the iud removed during pregnancy. If you got pregnant with the iud then there is probably a malfunction. Also the way the iud is inserted the is a high probability uteral tearing which wil complicate you pregnancy. Possibly cause you to lose the baby

It is important to note that a woman should never try to remove her IUD herself or ask an unqualified person to do so as this could cause serious damage.
