They are worth quite a bit to the right collector I know that there are not many of these types of stamps in the hands of American Collectors. Depending on the date they may be worth something.

These stamps were issued in the United States States in the year 1893. In total there were 16 postage stamps issued. They were issued to commemorate the World Colombian Exposition which was held in Chicago. These stamps were the first commemorative stamps every issued by the United States Post Office that depicted the life of Christopher Columbus.

In the early 1890's, the World's Fair, later named the World's Columbian Exposition to honor the 400 year anniversary of Columbus' travel to America, was held in Chicago. In 1893, there were sixteen stamps of the Columbian Exposition issue to commemorate this event. These were also the last stamps issued during that era.
