If they're uncancelled and recent, you could buy stamps at the post office so that the total amount is enough to mail letters. You could also donate them to a charity, some of which use them in their mailings. Your friends or family may find them useful, either as postage or in craft projects. Older stamps may be collectibles.

The postage stamp remains valid for its stated value and can be combined with other stamps to mail a letter or. The post office sells stamps with many different denominations, including one, two, three, four, and ten cents. Teach children to calculate postage by using old stamps and the small denominations to mail letters and packages to friends and family.

With extra old postage stamps, one has the opportunity to be creative. Stamps can be collected, or used for decorating objects such as picture frames.

You can combine old postage stamps. You can buy 1 cent stamps at the post office to combine your stamps so that they are enough to mail letters. It is a pain but it is something you can do with them.
