It's dingy looking and it has tiny black dots on it.

The black dots are most likely mold or mildew. The easiest way to whiten up your grout is to spray it with a mixture of bleach and water.

Make a paste out of equal parts baking soda and water. Dip an old toothbrush that no one uses into it and scrub until it starts to turn white again.

The black dots could be mold. The best way to clean the grout would be to use a mixture of water and bleach. You could use a toothbrush to get in real good.

Use a spray bottle filled with straight bleach and spray all over the affected area. Definitely turn the fan on and leave the room quickly.
