What can I do about a double hung window that will not close?

Stubborn double-hung windows stick often because paint has accumulated so the wood is too thick to slide, or moisture has made the wood swell. In either case, remove the window from the frame to assess the situation. Often, removing paint, or sealing the wood from moisture should help.

Well if it not closing, you may uninstall the hinges and then try to see if it is closing. If it still does not close, you may want to contact a window's repair man.

Check to make sure their is nothing in the track such as a Nail,screw,bolt.GET a lube Made for wood or Metal and oil it.Best oil for this is silica oil
