A perfect list of bands from the 90's for a high school reunion are as follows: Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Cranberries, The Divinyls, Deep Blue Something,100000 Maniacs, Radiohead, Live, The Counting Crows,No Doubt, The Goo Goo Dolls, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Verve, Oasis, U2, Weezer, Kenny Wayne Shepherd,Jane's Addiction, Matchbox Twenty, Blues Traveler, Hootie and the Blowfish.

If you're doing a soft rock compilation, I would personally recommend The Eagles, the later works by Eric Clapton and The Police.
