Fibromylagia treatments include analgesics, such as, Tylenol, Aleeve, Ultram, or Advil, antidepressants to reduce pain and fatigue, and anti-seizure drugs, such as Neurontin or Lyrica, to reduce pain. Lyrica is the only drug currently approved by the FDA to treat fibromylagia. Some patients also find physical therapy and/or counseling helpful.

Fibromyalgia treatments include pain medications, physical therapy, and even alternative healing therapies, such as accupuncture, on some occasions. It all depends on what the treating provider recommends.

There are many treatments used for fibromyalgia, such as accupuncture, muscle relaxants, sleeping medications, physical therapy, massage, chiropractic care to name a few. Medications most people recognize as antidepressants have been found to help with muscle spasms and relief of muscle pain especially during sleep.

There are numerous medications recommended for treatment of fibromyalgia. Some are to address the inability to sleep that is caused by the condition. Medication such as Lunesta, Ambien and Clonazepam are prescribed. This help modulate the pain and allow sleep. As for the pain, the most popular medication is Ultram.

Both medication and self-care is used to treat fibromyalgia. To reduce pain and aid sleep analgesics, antidepressants and anti-seizure drugs may be used. In addition, physical therapy helps.

There are treatments for fibromyalgia mostly in the form of medication and taking other forms of care of yourself. You can take some over the counter medicines like tylenol. There are some exercises you can do that will bring back the balance of your muscle and reduce the pain in your joints.
