Sleeping pills, scented candles, a comfortable bed, a comfortable pillow, empty your thoughts, avoid television before bed, exercise before bed, try different sleeping positions, sex, music. There are different ways to fall asleep and it all depends on the person. Only use sleeping pills when it is your last resort.

Relax before you go to bed. Don't listen to the TV or radio and don't have these in your bedroom. Drink warm milk. Drink a glass of wine. Think about something positive. Make sure the room is not hot. Put something on your feet. Sometimes a fleece blanket is comfortable.

I will give you some suggestions. Only go to bed when you're tired. DO NOT do things like read, watch t. v. or sit in your bed when it's not bedtime, it only makes it more difficult to fall asleep. Eating before bed can cause insomnia. Try to make it a comfortable place, get a soft pillow or blanket.

Don't exercise before going to bed. Don't watch tv right before you lie down. Don't drink or eat anything, especially caffeine before bed. Don't take a shower for bed as this will wake you up. Try to relax when you lie down, clear your mind. Make your room temperature comfortable. Wear comfortable pjs, sheets, pillows, and mattress. Sleep tight.
