It will vary for everyone but most people experience shortness of breath, blood tinged phlegm, and some pain may be experienced. Your doctor can provide more information about what to do to ease these symptoms.

At the end stage of lung cancer, tumors can be seen in lungs. Shortness of breath can be noticed in patients as fluid containing cancer cells may build up in the space surrounding the lungs. Lung cancer may also spread to bones in chest and spine resulting in bone pain.

The end stages is having trouble getting enough air into your lungs so you can breathe. You also start spitting up mucas and bloody stuff. You have lots of pain in your chest because you can't get enough oxygen into your lungs. You get real excited or aggavated just over anything. I know because my husband had it.

More oxygen will be needed because breathlessness increases. The appetite will be lost. There is greater weakness. The patient gets more tired much easier. A lot of times the patient just wants to sleep a lot. A lot of times the cough gets worse and sometimes there is blood coughed up.
