One in one hundred and ten children are diagnosed with this neurodevelopment disorder that affects social and communication abilities. Impaired social interaction is the main and first symptom. They do not babble or form single words by age two. There is little eye contact and no response to communications. They do not recognize facial expressions or tones. They cannot empathize.

Symptoms of Autism first appear in the first and second years of life for most children. The core signs are delayed language development, problems socializing, and odd, repetitive behaviors. The severity of these symptoms is now known to vary significantly on a child to child basis. If you notice these symptoms, tell your pediatrician.

start to suspect when the child is at age 3 and hasnt learned anything. if theyre either very quiet all the time, or when their excited they do this arm flappy thing. its not always worse case, my younger brother didnt speak till age 6 and he only has aspergers.
