What are the subgrades of grade A maple syrup?

There are also grades B and C. Grade A is the most refined, filtered version and has the lightest, clearest flavor. Grade B has a stronger, more maple-y taste, and can be used for cooking, but if you like maple, try it on pancakes. Grade C is mainly for baking.

I have always seen them subdivided by type, how it was harvested and what conditions were, looking at the name and knowing about the company will tell you more then the sub grades, do your research if you want to be picky about your maple syrup as I am told taste can be very easily effected.

In the United States, there are three different subgrades of grade A maple syrup. The three differnt subgrades are light (or also known as fancy) amber, medium amber and dark amber.

I dont know exactly but i can say that syrups are really good for health because they come from natural sources. And they have many grades depending upon purity.
