Basically bridemaids should be there to do anything which helps the bride to plan the wedding. So it starts from finding a wedding gown, the prefect hair stlye, shoes, etc. Traditional tasks are to organize a bridal shower /& bachlorette party, find "something blue, old, borrowed, new -stuff" (luck), help to walk with the long gown (church), wedding party surprise,...

The bridesmaids main goal is being your support during the entire wedding process. They often throw you a bridal shower. They can help with whatever you need help with, like assembling favors, mailing invitations, decorating, and helping you check out your wedding venue. It's all about helping you stay as sane as possible and enjoy your special day.

Bridesmaids are there for the bride. Find great tips from The Knot(online). Typically, they help with planning, ensure guests are happy, help with details and make sure everything runs correctly and on time. The maid-of-honor has special duties making sure everything is perfect for the bride, and that she's calm and ready. Assign them specific duties as you need.

Bridesmaids are traditionally responsible for helping implement your wedding plans (putting together the ceremony programs, figuring out the reception seating, etc.), buying their bridesmaid gowns in a timely manner, and assisting the bride on her wedding day. Bridesmaids are supporters and helpers to the bride, and should do their best to be there for her throughout the wedding planning process.
