After completion of the coursework, there is a two-part exam. Both parts are given on the same day and require a passing grade. One part of the exam required successful completion of 5 skills that are randomly chosen from a list of 25. The other half of the exam is a written test.

To become a certified nurse anesthetist, you must take and pass a national board exam administered by an official agency. After passing you will then receive a license.
