In psychology, the primary emotions are happy, sad, and fear. Happy is an emotion that usually is never tried to hide. People are attracted to people that are happy. Men tend to hide sadness and fear.

Primary emotions, or those emotions that cannot be masked or hidden easily are anger, surprise, fear, joy and sadness. There are other emotions that might also be considered primary but these are somewhat easier to mask. They include frustration, love, hate, disappointment and guilt. Other emotions could also appear as primary in a person, depending on that individual.

Your primary emotions id have to say is fear. Fear loves to take over and make you anxious and very vulnerable which it then tries to take control. I myself use to do all of the above and try to hide them. So knowing first hand about fears and anxieties is one thing I do suffer from and got help.

The primary emotions are anger, sadness and happiness. Most others are variants on these three identified basics. Embarrassment and shame are usually a combination of anger at others and sadness to self.
