The most well-known green rock is the semi-precious stone, jade. Some other, more common green color could come from serpentine, olivine, or even copper ores.

Apart from emeralds, which would probably not be called rocks, as they appear as crystals in a matrix of rock, the green rocks with high value are jade - the most beautiful of course, serpentine and olivine. Many of these minerals don't appear to be very green until polished up though.
