Budgies will do a little dance and rub their beaks on each others heads. They also fly together for a little bit but that is not seen in caged animals.

You need to have a nesting box if you'd like your budgies to mate and hatch babies. Are your budgies kissing and acting as though they like each other? This would be a good indication of mating Parakeets.

I bred budgies and the male talks or woos the female until she gives in. He climbs on and rubs his tail into hers to fertilize her eggs.

The male will be constantly chattering, approaches the female and taps her beak. He will also move his beak up and down along hers. The female will raise her tail while lowering her head. Usually mating happens on the perch but has been known to happen in the nestbox.

I read in a book that all you need to get budgies to mate is a nice little wooden nest box built into the cage. Then just wait.
