Answer by  alexandria (34)

We got 5 lobes on our lungs. Right side has 3 lobes, namely, right upper, right middle and right lower lobes. Due to space restrictions concerning the heart's location, the left side contains 2 lobes. We called them left upper and left lower lobe.

The lungs are not symmetrical. The slightly larger right lung has three lobes; the superior, middle, and inferior lobe. The smaller left lung contains only 2 lobes; the superior and inferior.
