The most famous landmarks in Italy are The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Pisa, the beautiful historic cities of Florence and Venice, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the Colosseum and Forum in Rome, the Vatican City and St Peter's Basilica in Rome, the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum and the lakes of Lombardy.

You cannot visit Italy without visiting Rome. In Rome you should see the Coliseum, the Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. In Rome you should also visit the Vatican city to see the Sistine Chapel. I also recommend visiting Florence where you should see the cathedral and visit the museum where the statue of David is located.
