You should consider what your wedding colors are going to be and what flowers are available at that time. Roses are somewhat traditional. Don't forget, florists can be very helpful!

Cowl lilies with carnations, roses, and ivy wrapped around. In the summer time you can get tropical flowers. Orchids come in many different shades and shapes. There could be all white roses, Lily's and Daisys with just ivy for a green effect.

There is no certain flower that is the best for a bouquet. It depends on what you like. I do recommend roses and calla lillies however.

Pick something that goes with the colors of your wedding. If you'd like to have a bunch of different types of flowers you can. It's your wedding so do what you like. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. If you don't have a good floral eye you can always ask your florist which flowers go together the best.

Have a florist help but before you get started, try to have either specific colors, or favorite flowers in mind. I went with different types of pink flowers and it looked great. Also check bridal magazines for ideas. They will be able to put something together to your taste.

The best flowers are the ones that are in season during your wedding. Lilys are always beautiful and take up a lot of space in an arrangement. Tulips are beautiful in the spring, as are peonys. Sunflowers really make a fall arrangement come alive. Hydranges are another popular choice and are typically inexpensive.
