It is important to have zinc in our bodies. Zinc deficiency can cause growth stunts, and dermatitis. Zinc rich foods include oysters, shellfish, wheat bran, all bran cereals, pine nuts and pecan nuts. Liver, cashew nuts, eggs, and fish are also decent sources of zinc, but aren't as packed with zinc as the foods listed above.

Zinc is mainly found in high protein foods including beef, lamb, crab, lobster, turkey, and chicken. For vegetarians, Zinc can be found mainly in brown rice and pumpkin seeds.
