Small, silvery insects that you often find in sinks or bathtubs that haven't been used in awhile are probably silverfish. If you touch one, a silvery powder-like substance will come off on your fingers.

Silver fish live in homes. This bug likes dark corners to live in and will live under beds with a lot of items that are stored which makes a nice dark place to breed. Rooms should be aired and junk put in cupboards.

Silverfish are insects that live in dark places such as drawers, cabinets, containers, shelves, boxes, under beds, etc. They are harmless and easy to kill but often they aren't enough of a problem to make it worth killing them.
