I don't know if merely having a female vocalist counts, but if it does: No Doubt, Save Ferris (both are ska-punk bands. ) If it doesn't: for pop, Mariah Carey, the Spice Girls. For singer-songwriters, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Feist (her first album was 1999), Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, and alternative-rock queen Alanis Morissette.
