Mormonism is a uniquely American religion that is close-to-but-not-exactly Christian. Mormons don't ingest alcohol or caffeine. They also believe in three heavens. Which heaven you enter depends on how you lived your earthly life. Devout Mormons go to the top heaven and become gods. Some fundamentalist Mormons still practice polygamy.

Mormons believe God came down in human form to impregnate Mary with Jesus. They believe that good Mormons ascend to heaven to become Gods themselves to create new generations of spirit children. They believe Jesus and Lucifer were half-brothers in a prior life.

I am Mormon, so these beliefs are not crazy to me, but we do have some beliefs that are different from other Christian religions. One of our non-standard beliefs is baptisms by proxy for the dead. Everyone must be baptized to enter heaven, even those who died before being baptized. A living person does it vicariously for a dead person.

Mormons believe that Jesus, the Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings vs one. They believe Jesus came to America after he was resurrected, where the locals wrote the Book of Mormon. Joseph Smith saw the face of God in the forest. They baptize people when they die, which is why they are so heavily into geneology.

Nearly all beliefs are crazy to those who don't believe them. The Mormon beliefs that are usually considered the "craziest" usually deal with the nature of God and exaltation. Mormons teach that humankind can eventually become gods themselves and that it is very likely that God was once a man.
