A high, ballerina bun is one updo that is timeless and formal. Another option is the classic chignon, which appears elegant and trendy at the same time.

A really fun up-do is to try seperating your hair into two vertical ponytails. Then take the top one and make a messy bun by bobby pinning the ponytail messy. Do the same with the bottom one and add in a flower clip for extra spunk or to make it more formal.

Part your hair on the right or left side. Separate the hair into to sections then start braiding you hair into two pieces and add as you go on down. pull your hair into a high or low bun or high or low ponytail. Hope it works!

One good way is to curl hair with rollers, then gather in a ponytail and arrange on top of the head. You can surround the base of the ponytail with small flowers.

When it comes to updo's I like to look at Jessica Alba sytles. She always has great hair. Your updo really should compliment your dress. If you are wearing an empire waist, a nice braid along the side with a messy bun in the back always looks great. You could also try a tight side-part with an elegant pony tail

A french twist is a classic updo that works for medium to long hair lengths and looks good on styes with or without bangs. A frech twist can be dressed up with jeweled clips, flowers, riddon, ect. ANother great look is reverse frech braid with barrel curls. This creates a beautiful look on long hair.

A favorite hairstyle of mine is the french braid. It's fairly simple to do and offers an air of both simplicity and elegance. This is always a big hit for a party!

Assuming you have longer hair, you could do something elegant like a french twist that would look sophisticated. If you are on the younger side, you could curl your hair and then pull it back with a flower clip or another decorative clip. Also depending on the event (if it's prom) you could use a tiara to hold the hair.

You can never go wrong with a french roll allowing for soft curls down the side of your face. You can find pictures of hair designs in magazines or ask your hairdresser for advice.

Start off with your hair in a ponytail and roll hot curlers into small sections of hair. Let the curlers cool and take them out one at a time. You will then roll the curled hair around itself toward the ponytail and pin it in place. Finally, spray with hairspray.

The easiest updo hairstyle is a loose bun. You just want to have a few loose tendrils, to prevent your hair from looking too done. Add a little hair spray, and maybe a little bit of pomade, and voila! You're done. Just make sure your hair isn't too clean- this actually works better on unwashed hair.
