Pekingese are very good apartment dogs; their small size and good temperament make them the ideal inside dog. Other breeds that will be content to stay inside are Yorkshire Terriers, Boston Terriers, Shi Tzus, and basset hounds.

Alot of small breed dogs make good inside dogs. Stay away from terrier and go more for the poodle, chihuahua types to have inside. They still need exercise -remember they're pets.

the best inside dogs are small ones like yorkies, poodles, chihuauas, and jack russell terriers. if you have small kids, you need to make sure the dog you choose is good with children.

Dachshunds are great indoor dogs. They are smart, funny, and, of course, small. Most dachshunds are smooth-coated and do not shed as much as longer-haired breeds. They don't need much grooming, just a brushing once or twice a week to remove hair during shedding seasons, and the occasional nail clipping. They have loads of personality and will keep you laughing.

One inside dog breed, the long-haired Yorkshire Terrier, is 5-7 pounds, with human-like hair; no dander. But, this dog is not for young children. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, at 13-18 pounds, and the Boston Terrier at 15-25 pounds, both have easy care, beautifully patterned coats, and great dispositions

This may be hard to believe but one of the best inside dogs is the Great Dane. They are even great in apartments if you can spare the room. They are generally pretty lazy and prefer laying around in the house. The Shih Tzu, Corgi, Yorki, and Pug would be good choices.

When looking for a dog that does well indoors, toy breeds or dogs on the smaller side thrive indoors. Shih-tzus, pomeranians, as well as miniature breeds can stand to being inside for long amounts of time. However, no dog can be purely an "inside" dog, so even these house dogs need to be taken out from time to time.

Any dog can be a good inside dog so long as they receive the proper amount of exercise and attention from you. Training is also very important. I would recommend a rescue dog because they generally come from a foster home where they've lived inside and learned manners.

Any small dog will make a good inside dog the bigger breeds tend to not like being in for long periods of time. Small dogs do very well as house dogs they like it because they can be in where people are you can also do a net search for more good house breeds.

Small breed dogs tend to be the best indoor dogs. They don't really need to go out much other than going to the bathroom. Actually most of them don't like to go outside since they are small and are afraid of a lot of things.

Dachshunds are great inside pets because they are small, so they don't eat a lot, don't make big messes, and are great with kids if raised from young around them.
