It depends on what "humor" is to you. Tim Dorsey writes Florida-based crime novels that are laugh-out-loud funny. Clyde Edgerton is known for capturing southern humor at its finest. Lots of books contain humor. There are few books of substance that offer big chuckles on every page.

Perhaps one of the most humourous books, although not necessarily intended as such, would be the now infamous best-seller by the late great Hunter S. Thompson, Fear & Loathing in Los Vegas. For those who are not shocked and horrified by this psychedelic masterpiece, riotous laughter will most certainly ensue.
