This time of year is always packed with Oscar caliber films. Black Swan is intense, emotional, and extremely well done. The King's Speech is intriguing and mesmerizing. Out of all the dramas, it would be best to see either Black Swan or The King's Speech if you are taking your grandmother to the movies.

"The King's Speech" is probably your best choice. It's about the King George VI of Britain and his speech therapist. It's a major contender for the Academy Awards.

True Grit stars Jeff bridges in the John Wayne role and Matt Damon as well. It is a well-written and well-directed western that older folks as will enjoy.

Black Swan, The Green Hornet and True Grit are all current releases in theaters that are receiving excellent reviews. Black Swan is a dark drama about a ballerina, The Green Hornet is an action about a superhero and True Grit is a remake of a country western. It just depends on the mood you are in.
