I raised guinea pigs once and I improvised homes for them. I used old terrarium and lime saw dust at the bottom. Guinea pigs love to hide so I created hiding places or houses using carton boxes. You could also buy cute guinea pig houses with different design at some pet stores.

Use an upside down shoe box as a guinea pig house, cut a flap or hole in one end. If the guineas eat the shoe box quickly, get a large shipping tube from the post office or UPS Store. Put the tube without any ends into the cage, guineas love these.

Look up a C+C (Cubes and Coroplast) cage. It is so easy to make, and much cheaper than a petstore cage (that is way too small for guinea pigs). Shoeboxes with cut out doors make good hidey holes (cheaper than a pigloo). You can also use a small plastic stepstool.

You can buy a wire cage at a local pet store. Line the bottom with bedding or shredded paper. Guinea pigs love having a place to hide, so you may consider buying a guinea pig igloo at the pet store. Guinea pigs like soft places to sleep; you may add in old socks, pieces of fleece, etc.

Get a good large Guinea Pig cage. Fill it with clean bedding and make sure there is food and water. They also love little things they can hide under.

First you need a critter cage, then you need bedding, and a rodent house. Guines pigs are shy and like to have a little house to hide in so make sure they have a hut. For bedding make sure not to use cedar because it is bad for their lungs. And make sure they have a good sized cage.

Try making a C&C cage out of storage cubes and coroplast. That way the cage can be the proper size needed (at least 7. 5 square feet for two pigs). It is also a fraction of the price of a pet store cage.

A guinea pig needs to have a plastic igloo or tunnel they can hide and sleep in. That, combined with copious amounts of hay, will make a guinea pig fee home.

You must ensure that it is not made of materials in which the pet could chew (cardboard, etc). Pine and plywood are good options.

Make a cedar box, 12 inches high with 1 side of plexi-glass so they can look out. Put cardboard boxes inside and cedar chips on the floor.

use a shoebox and cut a couple of doorways, or a poster tube (sliced down the side so they don't get stuck). Plastic stools work well, too. Or you can search online and buy cheap cozies that are warm and cuddly.

If you already have a cage, use cardboard boxes or tubes for them to hide in. Use plastic igloo homes too. For cages get C&C or a very large store bought one.
