Zinc sources are often associated with foods that are rich in protein. Foods such as beef, pork, lamb, salmon, chicken, turkey, lobster, and clams all contain high levels of zinc. Zinc is an important mineral for the body and must be consumed in sufficient amounts in order to maintain a healthy and well functioning body.

Surprisingly, it is very easy to include zinc in your diet. Beef, chicken, salmon, crabmeat, lamb, pork, and many other meats contain it. If you are a vegetarian, there is also zinc in dairy products, whole grain, and peanuts. However, these do not have as much as meat based diets.

Try high protein foods. Beef, lamb, and pork all contain zinc. Non-meat foods such as beans, yogurt, and cheese are good sources of zinc. Out of your non-meat foods, pumpkin seeds have the highest zinc concentration. In upping your zinc intake, err on the side of caution, as too much can lead to nausea and other health symptoms.
