Depending on the child's age, you can get them all kinds of cheap things and they don't care about a price. Most kids like coloring books, crayons, little games, etc.

Children love attention. If you have the time, spend some with them. A coloring book with a small pack of crayons goes over better when you color with them. A new story book is priceless when you sit and read it to them. Gifting a new board game for siblings to share and teaching them to play is nice too.

it depends on the children's ages but some ideas that come to mind include Play-do, coloring books, markers, building blocks, crayons, paint-by-number kits, beading kits, play cell phones, small footballs that they can throw, board games, Barbie dolls, play trucks and cars, stuffed animals, play purses, games involving remembering the alphabet or remembering state names.

Often times you can find things at your local dollar store. For boys you can get small Lego kits or cars. For girls you can get small dolls.
