Young children may not create beautiful art, but they can enjoy the experience. Get their hands dirty with finger-paints. They could make hand prints and foot prints on the paper.

Chalk cities! Make cities & streets out of chalk on a driveway, and then ride your bike through the city streets! Another word: Boxes.

You could do hand turkeys for Thanksgiving. You can also do things like Christmas countdown chains. Air dry or kiln clay projects are fun for kids as well. Macaroni art is nice because kids enjoy it. Finger painting is good for kids too because they can take it home.

Preschoolers are thrilled with art projects that involve getting messy. Fingerpainting, glue, glitter, small bits of paper are always big hits. Collages are very easy. Clip pictures, letters, word strips from magazines, give the kids a piece of construction paper and a bottle or stick of glue! Easy & Messy!

Macaroni or bean pictures are always fun. Anything that allows kids to bend pipe cleaners is good. Gluing together popsicle sticks is a classic. And if all else fails, drag out the coloring books.

- Macaroni Necklaces - Finger Painting - Buy some stencils, some glitter and some glue, and have the kids use glue inside the stencils, remove them, then add the glitter and let them pour it out - Have them draw their family including pets - Have them gather things from outdoors and glue them on a sheet of paper
