What are personality traits on miniature Yorkshire terriers?

This is a toy terrier breed that is active, perky, affectionate, a little barky in nature. They are lively and busy particularly as pups. With training they can be fine companions. Any new owner has to be ready for frequent grooming costs. Any toy dog can be hard to housebreak and this breed is no exception.

Despite Yorkies's diminutive size, they still possess all of the traditional terrier qualities including high levels of energy, intelligence, and activity. They require lots of attention and exercise.

If you have small children it's not a good idea to get a small dog. They often times are less patient when kids pull of them. If your kids are old enough to know to be careful with the dog it could work. Yorkies can also be yappy at times.

Miniature Yorkshire terriers are very unique animals. They are more or less a one on one type of dog. Although they can be good around children I wouldn't recomend them to be around babies or toddlers.
