What are bank ABA numbers?

They are called routing numbers. Its a unique set of numbers linked directly to your bank. With these numbers money can be transfered in and out of your account. Each bank has its own set of numbers so tranactions will not go to the wrong location. You also need your bank account number for these transactions

ABA numbers are what is assigned by the Federal Reserve to each bank so it can be easily identified. The number is usually the first set of nine numbers found in the left hand bottom corner of a check. The number sequence is assingned for each state that is why most banks in the same area will hae similar numbers.
