What advise can you give me on going on a cross country buss trip in Mexico?

Traveling in mexico can be very dangerous especially if you are by yourself. Be very weary of rural areas and always stay where there a lots of people. wear little jewelry if any and try to blend in as much as possible by dressing like the natives. Do not reveal too much information about yourself and travel with a group of friends.

Go ahead and spend a little bit more to travel on a bus line such as Primera Plus or Omnibus. These buses are extremely comfortable and very safe.
