Fill the bottom of your pot with drainage material. Fill the container with commercial potting soil. Place the plant with soil and roots into the pot. Water the pot thoroughly and set it in a sunny location. Check for moistness regularly. Fertilize your plant about once a month. Use a 5-10-10 fertilizer. Use a tomato cage or stake to hold the stalk of the plant upright.

Tomatoes do well in pots, Make sure you keep them well watered especially in during the heat of the summer. I also would recommend using large pots to allow the plants to develop a large root system. Lastly Fertilize!!

You can start plants with seeds or buy plants at a garden center-this is faster. Make sure you have good drainage system and plenty of sunshine. Keep plants weeded out and give lots of water. As plant gets taller, tie plant to dowel rod you have inserted in container. Give lots of love and enjoy!

Space used is one of the important factor, along with material of container used to plant. Tomato plant requires excess amount of heat. Drainge of water is essential. Sunlight is necessary. Avoid soil to dry. Fertilise the plant using fertilizer including nitrogen, phosphorus & potassium. Soil of the plant should be free of disease, pests & extra unwanted sapplings.
