Should you buy used desktop computers?

Or would they most likely have something wrong with them?

when buying a used computer try not to buy one older than 2-3years reason being is the life cycle of a computer nowadays is 3-5 years.

It really depends on who you buy it from. For the most part, ones sold in small computer stores are going to be good to you. And really as long as it boots up to the Login Screen, you're probably OK. I would highly recommend getting the Operating System disks from the seller before completing the purchase.

The only people who seem to have success with used desktops are the ones who know the intricacies of the computer. Used laptops are usually not as up to date as the new ones, but if you do buy one buy one from a reputable dealer who has checked out the computer and gives a guarantee.
