Should I be concerned that my 5 month old has a lump under her breast?

It is mostly likely just a bug bite or something else benign. It is possible, but unlikely, to be cancer. It should be checked by a physician, however.

Babies can't get breast cancer, but they can get tumours. I wouldn't worry about it too much, but I would take them to your family doctor.

Breast cancer is almost unheard of before puberty. It could be a cyst, an infection from a bug bite or MRSA. It could also be a boil. See a doctor.

You should definately ask her doctor but in my experience it has not been anything serious. I have two girls that are 2 and 3 and they both had lumps and according to their doctor it is normal and should go away in the first year.
