Question by  SWare1980 (1)

Should I be concerned about my best friend who wakes up from his sleep, jumping around, hitting me on purpose in the face, grabbing at me?

I am worried about my safety.

Yes. He may be suffering from night terrors or another sleep disorder that could cause him to be aggressive. I'd have him see a doctor.

Nearly every person who has experienced abuse of any kind will tell you that in retrospect they experienced a warning. A "red flag" or an "inner nudging" a general uneasiness that something is not quite right about a person or the situation. Like you, they worried about their safety. Some didn't listen and got hurt. What will you do?
